WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Since modern Fashion Photography started in Paris exactly 100 years ago, with the renown images taken by Edward Steichen and published in "Art et Decoration", we have taken advantage of the historical heritage of the French capital to use as the foundation for this practical and theoretical course. This workshop is first and foremost a hands-on training; putting candidates in direct contact with the actual fashion world of Paris.

This ‘classic’ course from LPW, 'Fashion Photography in Paris', takes place this summer and ensures to give six photographers an immersive and invaluable experience involving studio and location shoots with professional models, stylists and makeup artists. Master the techniques of lighting and shooting fashion on the streets of Paris. Working with five outstanding models and a full crew: stylist, makeup artist, assistants. I will take you through the process of finding great locations and lighting them to produce outstanding images for your portfolio.

This is a ‘perfect’ workshop that emphasises the practical skills needed to produce beautiful images outside the comfort of the studio.

We will be travelling light, harnessing the city environment along with Profoto flashes, Sunbounce equipment and your camera to produce commercial quality images.

"I have spent most all my life living and working in Paris. I know my town exceptionally well and I will give you a chance to get a unique look over the city of lights…."
