You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.
— Ansel Adams

Welcome to LONDON PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKSHOPS - It is an exciting time in photography and visual media. Billions of images are being made daily in fact, in a minute or two as many photographs are produced as were made in the entire 19th century.  At LPW we teach traditional ways of making photographs, with film, and we also teach new and exciting ways of using digital imaging.  Exploring the enormous possibilities in visual imaging.

Ours workshops and courses programs are helping them get there. The old rules of the photographic industry are changing constantly. A new wave of talents is emerging, committed to doing things differently, freely. They don't feel themselves constrained by any medium. They have the power to create wherever they are. To be their own brand and to build their own future.

Good studio lighting tutorials are surprisingly hard to come by. I’m sure loads of you are ready to to agree with me. There is an abundance of education out there for learning Lightroom, Photoshop, and basic studio technique, but relatively little when it comes to advanced lighting tutorials. In actual fact, much of it is poorly produced, badly taught, and, on the rare occasion, just downright wrong. That’s why I thought  would be very useful to create a book finalized to explain high-end studio lighting solutions.
